I qualified with an N.N.E.B in 1977, where I spent 10 happy years working in the maternity unit at St Margaret’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. I was then asked to set up a ‘workplace’ nursery on the grounds of Princess Alexandra hospital, which is still in operation.
I have planned and opened many other nurseries, but my biggest achievement to date is Raindrops.
In the future I plan to extend our two-year-old provision.
I have been working in childcare since 1987with an NNEB. I have been working here at Raindrops since April 2008.
When I am at work I enjoy opening the front door and seeing the children’s big smiles! I like seeing a child grow and develop from the warm and stimulating environment.
In my own time I enjoy spending time at Centre Parcs, especially the spa. I like to spend my time swimming, walking and shopping.
I have worked at Raindrop’s since it opened in March 2012, where I was involved in the setup. I am the deputy manager with an NNEB qualification, I am also the under 3’s Rep.
I have two boys and a daughter of my own and I consider myself as being a bubbly person with a caring personality. I enjoy creative activities with the children.

I am Raindrop’s Equality Named Coordinator (ENCO), my role is to ensure that anyone who comes into the nursery feels welcome and valued. I have also undertaken SENCO training.
I enjoy taking part in creative activities and ensuring that the children in my care reach their full potential by offering support along the way.
